Harvard to Host Panel "The African-American Athlete: Challenges in Today's Sports World" Tonight

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard Foundation for Intercultural Race and Relations will hold a panel discussion tonight titled “The African-American Athlete: Challenges in Today’s Sports World.”

The event, which is open to all members of the Harvard community and general public, will feature Harvard men’s basketball head coach Tommy Amaker, Harvard women’s tennis head coach Traci Green and Harvard women’s soccer goalkeeper Jessica Wright ’13, as well as two-time NBA All-Star Norman Nixon and noted sports psychiatrist Dr. Timothy Benson.

The panel discussion begins at 7 p.m. in Science Center Lecture Hall C.
