Women's Tennis Honored with ITA All-Academic Team Award
Hideko Tachibana was one of four Harvard players to receive ITA Scholar-Athlete honors (Gil Talbot).
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- The Harvard women's tennis team has been named a recipient of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Academic Team Award. The Crimson also had four student-athletes honored as ITA Scholar Athletes.
Rising seniors Hideko Tachibana, a 2011-12 co-captain of the Crimson, Holly Cao and Samantha Gridley and rising sophomore Amanda Black achieved a grade-point average of 3.5 or above.
A team must have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or greater to receive the all-academic team award.
The Crimson is set to open its 2011 fall season by hosting the Harvard Fall Classic Sept. 16-18.
