Cao Falls in Opening Round of ITA Championship
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Sophomore Holly Cao
dropped a tough match in the opening round of the ITA National
Indoor Championship. No. 18 Marina Cossou of California defeated
Cao, 7-5, 6-4, on Thursday morning. In the consolation draw, Cao
faced Old Dominion's Nadine Fahoum. Fahoum won the match, 6-4, 1-6,
7-5.
Cao qualified for the tournament after defeating three Ivy League
opponents in the ITA Northeast Regional tournament in New Haven
last weekend.
