Holly Cao Set to Play in NCAA Tournament

Sophomore Holly Cao is in Athens, Ga., May 26-31, for the NCAA
Singles Tournament. The Sydney, Australia native will face
Northwestern’s Maria Mosolova in the opening round May 26.

Cao tallied a 15-4 mark in dual matches this spring, including a
5-2 record in Ivy League play. She won seven of her final nine
matches while playing the entire season at the No. 1 singles spot.
Cao, currently ranked No. 73 in the nation and No. 1 in the
Northeast region, is the only player from the Ivy League in the
field of 64.
Mosolova, ranked No. 13, holds a 20-7 record in dual matches and
an 8-1 mark against Big Ten opponents.
The winner of the first round match will move on to the second
round, May 27, and face either Denise Muresan of Michigan, or North
Carolina’s Katrina Tsang.
