Mary Catherine McLean joined Harvard swimming and diving in Nov. 2013 as the Volunteer Assistant Diving Coach.
"McLean has already made a strong contribution and is a welcome addition to our very large diving squad," diving coach Keith Miller said.
Before coaching junior divers in her hometown of Moultrie, Ga., McLean competed many times at the Junior National Championships and attended the University of Georgia.
A “Double Dawg,” McLean earned her bachelor’s degree in 2009, and then a masters degree in education, both at UGA. While in Athens, she also was involved in many other pursuits, serving as the Chair of the Community Service Committee of the Executive Board of the Student Government Association. She was a HOPE Scholar, a Richard B. Russell Leadership Fellow, a member of the Arch Society and served on the Executive Board of the UGA Relay for Life.
