Stanton won on both the one meter and three-meter diving boards at the MIT Invitational (Gil Talbot).
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Members of the Harvard women's swimming and diving team took to the pool at the MIT Invitational over the weekend, turning in several impressive performances.
Alex Stanton was the Crimson's top performer of the weekend, winning both the one and three-meter diving competitions. Stanton earned the one meter title with 259.35 points, while her 266.05 points were good enough to capture the crown on the three meter. Jessica Stanchfield placed third in both events, scoring 239.00 points on the one meter and 251.30 on the three meter.
Petra Janney had a very strong weekend, beginning with her third-place finish in the 100 fly with a time of 59.15. Janney also took sixth in both the 100 back (1:02.06) and 200 back (2:11.78).
Taylor Foster placed fourth in the 200 back, clocking in with a time of 2:08.46.
Harvard will return to the pool Dec. 9 at Columbia.
