NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The No. 2 Harvard women's squash team is headed back to the College Squash Association Howe Cup Final for the seventh consecutive season, defeating No. 3 Penn, 6-3, Saturday afternoon at the Brady Squash Center to earn the berth.

The Crimson jumped out to an early lead before sweeping the final rotation to beat the Quakers by the same margin it did back Jan. 12 to advance to face No. 4 Trinity in Sunday's final at 1 p.m.

In the first rotation, the Crimson jumped out to a 2-1. Haley Mendez held off Rachel Goh at No. 3, 11-9, 11-9, 6-11, 9-11, 11-8, and No. 6 Natasha Kingshott made quick work of Yarden Ordinak, 11-7, 11-8, 11-7, to take an early lead.

In the second set of matches, Penn took two of the three matches to even up the match at three. No. 5 Saumya Karki picked up the lone win for the Crimson, edging Pia Trikha, 5-11, 11-3, 11-9, 11-3, to keep things even.

In the final pairing, No. 4 Michelle Gemmell outlasted Haidi Lala, 18-20, 12-10, 11-3, 10-12, 11-7, to give the Crimson back the lead, while Amanda Sobhy easily handled Nabill Ariffin, 11-5, 11-2, 11-3, to send Harvard back to the finals. Sarah Mumanachit closed out the day with the Crimson's sixth win by taking care of Camille Lanier, 9-11, 11-3, 11-4, 11-3.

Harvard has already beaten the Bantams once this season, knocking them off 7-2 Feb. 6 at the Murr Center. The win in the match would give Harvard its second consecutive national title and third in the last four years.
