Amanda Sobhy Featured in March 19 Issue of Sports Illustrated

CAMBRDIGE, Mass. – Harvard squash's Amanda Sobhy was featured in the March 19 issue of Sports Illustrated in the magazine's "Faces in the Crowd" section. Sobhy was one of six athletes highlighted for outstanding athletic achievements.

Sobhy won the 2012 College Squash Association (CSA) individual national championship and also helped Harvard to the Howe Cup, presented to the women's squash national championship team. The freshman went undefeated during the season, compiling a 15-0 record while playing in the No. 1 position for the Crimson. She led Harvard to the Ivy League championship with a 6-0 individual record during Ancient Eight matches.

The Sea Cliff, N.Y., was also featured in SI's "Faces in the Crowd" July 27, 2009 after winning the girls' under-19 title at the ATCO Junior Open in Cairo, Egypt. Click here for the 2009 edition.
