Women’s Squash Honors Season at Annual Team Banquet

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Juniors Katherine O'Donnell and Johanna Snyder have been named captains for the 2009-10 season, head coach Satinder Bajwa announced over the weekend at the annual team banquet.

Harvard also presented its team awards and O'Donnell was tabbed as the Most Valuable Player. She was third on the Crimson with 12 wins this season, going 12-3 overall, including a perfect 9-0 at the No. 5 slot and 2-0 at No. 4. 

Snyder, meanwhile, took home the Coaches Award, as she posted an 11-3 mark.  She went 7-1 at the No. 7 slotand 3-0 at the No. 6 position.  Snyder also served as a team captain for the Crimson this past season.

After a stellar freshman campaign in which she was named to the College Squash Association (CSA) All-America second team, Emily Park was selected as Harvard's Most Improved Player.  She owned a 10-4 overall mark in her rookie season and was 5-0 at the No. 4 slot.  Park finished the season ranked No. 16 in the final CSA individual poll.
