CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard women's soccer senior co-captains Peyton Johnson and Elizabeth Weisman have been chosen to play in the 2013 NEWISA Senior Bowl, it was announced. The contest is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 7 at Merrimack College in North Andover, Mass.
A unanimous All-Ivy League first team selection at fullback, Johnson was one of three Crimson athletes to start all 18 matches and ranked first on the team and third in the conference with six assists.
Weisman sat second on the squad in points with 14, collecting nine in conference matches. The Atherton, Calif., native scored six goals and dished out two assists in 18 games of action.
The two led Harvard to its 11th Ivy League title and fourth over the last six years. The Crimson went 7-0 in league play for the first time since 1999, advancing to its 14th NCAA tournament.
