CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard forward Emily Mosbacher of the Crimson women's soccer team has been named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.

Mosbacher, a native of Woodside, Calif., scored a game-winning goal and assisted on another tally last week, helping Harvard go 1-0-1 in its two games.

In the Crimson's 2-1 win at New Hampshire Oct. 2, Mosbacher found the back of the net for the game-winner at 51:11, breaking a 1-1 tie. Earlier in the contest, Mosbacher was brought down in the UNH box, drawing a foul and creating a penalty kick opportunity for Harvard. Teammate Peyton Johnson scored on the penalty kick at 36:38, knotting the game at the time.

On Oct. 6, Mosbacher got Harvard on the scoreboard in an Ivy League contest against Cornell by assisting on a tally by Meg Casscells-Hamby at 2:14, giving the Crimson a 1-0 lead. Harvard went on to tie the Big Red, 1-1, moving to 5-3-3 overall and 1-1-1 in the Ancient Eight.

Harvard will look to continue its four-game unbeaten streak (2-0-2) Oct. 13, as the Crimson visits Brown (6-4, 0-3 Ivy) in a conference contest in Providence, R.I.
