Sheeleigh Selected for NEWISA Senior Bowl
Katherine Sheeleigh concluded her Harvard career ranked
fifth in program history with 31 goals (Gil Talbot).
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Senior forward Katherine
Sheeleigh of the Harvard women's soccer team was recently selected
to play in the 2010 NEWISA Senior Bowl. The game will be held at
Merrimack College in North Andover, N.H., Saturday, Dec. 4 at 2:30
p.m.
Sheeleigh, a native of New Vernon, N.J., was honored as the Ivy
League Player of the Year this season and garnered her fourth
consecutive nod to the all-conference first team. A co-captain of
the Crimson, Sheeleigh led Harvard and the Ivy League with 25
points, scoring nine goals and dishing out seven assists.
A finalist for the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award, Sheeleigh concluded
the season ranked 10th in the nation in scoring with 1.67 points
per game. She also stands fifth in program history with 31
goals and sixth with 79 points. Sheeleigh has succeeded inside of
the classroom as well, as she was recently tabbed to the ESPN The
Magazine Academic All-District team for the second straight
season.
