CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Junior forward Katherine Sheeleigh of the Harvard women's soccer team has been named to the Top Drawer Soccer National Team of the Week, the publication announced Monday morning.
Sheeleigh helped Harvard extend its winning streak to four
games, as the Crimson topped Fairfield Oct. 6 and Cornell Oct. 10.
Against the Stags, Sheeleigh scored twice in the first half to give
Harvard a 2-1 lead after the first stanza. Harvard went on to win
the game against Fairfield, 4-1. Sheeleigh continued her offensive
output at Cornell, as she netted a goal in the 56th minute to help
Harvard pick up a 2-0 conference win.
Sheeleigh, a native of New Vernon, N.J., paces the Crimson with 13
points on five goals and three assists. Harvard owns a 5-5-1
overall record and 2-0 mark in Ivy League action. Up next,
the Crimson hosts Brown Saturday, Oct. 17 at 11 a.m.
