Women's Rugby Garners Five NIRA All-America Selections

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The National Intercollegiate Rugby Association announced All-America selections Tuesday afternoon with five members of Harvard women's rugby earning recognition. Senior captain Maya Learned, juniors Caitlin Weigel and Jenny Kronish and freshman Milan Roberts earned All-America status, with senior Haley Langan named an All-America honorable mention. 

Learned totaled five tries, including two against Dartmouth in the NIRA Semifinals, while Weigel totaled seven tries and four successful conversions during the fall campaign. Kronish led the team with 24 completed conversions, including a season-high 10 against Mt. St. Mary's on Sept. 22. Roberts led the team with eight tries in her first season with the Crimson, while Langan was invaluable playing at lock.

The Crimson finished the fall season with a 4-3-1 record, ending the season with the a trip to the NIRA Semifinals, wheere the team faced Dartmouth.
