The Crimson won four weights as it hosted Penn at the MAC (Robert Preston).

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard wrestling team welcomed EIWA and Ivy League foe Penn to Cambridge Saturday night and fell to the Quakers, 23-15.

Harvard (3-5, 2-5 EIWA) earned four wins on the night including decisions by Todd Preston and Eric Morris to move their team-leading win totals to 15 apiece. James Fox also picked up a decision for his 10th victory of the year while David Ng registered his seventh.

Penn opened the bout with back-to-back wins including a first period fall for 133-pounder Ken Bade over Jeffrey Ott. Ott scored first in the match with a takedown, but Bade quickly escaped and scored a takedown of his own for a 3-2 lead. After an Ott reversal the score stood at 4-3 in favor of the Crimson, but a second reversal by Bade put Ott on his back for the fall at the 1:28 mark.

The Crimson got on the board with a 6-2 decision by Preston over Jeff Canfora at 141 lbs. Leading 3-1, Preston was hit with a stalling call late to bring the score to 3-2, but the sophomore scored one final takedown to secure the win.

Penn rattled off three straight wins at the middle weights with No. 19 Casey Kent registering bonus points with a tech-fall at 165 lbs. A 6-0 decision in favor of Eric Morris at 174 lbs. gave the Crimson a chance to comeback, but the Quakers secured the team victory with No. 10 Lorenzo Thomas' 5-2 win over Cameron Croy at 184 lbs.

Harvard bounced back to finish the dual with wins at 197 lbs. and heavyweight, as Fox picked up a 5-3 decision over Fran Mattiace and Ng registered a 10-3 victory against Anthony DiLonardo.

The Crimson will be back in action tomorrow at the Malkin Athletic Center as it hosts Princeton at 3 p.m. live on the Ivy League Digital Network.
