Trio of Wrestlers Win Two Matches Against Army and Boston University

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – A trio of grapplers
picked a pair of wins for the Harvard wrestling team Saturday as
the Crimson fell to Army, 35-11, and Boston University, 35-15, at
the Malkin Athletic Center.
Freshman Steven Keith and senior co-captain J.P. O’Connor won
both their matches by bonus points. Keith defeated Ryan Dowd, 12-1,
and Lance Penhale of Army, 11-2 to improve to 13-5 on the
season.
O’Connor moved into sole possession of second on
Harvard’s all-time wins list with his 117 career victory this
afternoon. O’Connor defeated Andrew Swank of Boston
University, 19-2, and Army’s Rudy Chelednik. The top-ranked
wrestler at 157 pounds is 20-0 on the seaon.
Senior co-captain Louis Caputo won by forfeit against Boston
University and defeated Collin Wittmeyer of Army, 8-1. With his
second win of the afternoon, Caputo moved into third all-time of
the Harvard wins list with 116 career victories.
The Crimson continues its homestand next weekend with a pair of Ivy
League duals. Harvard takes on Penn Saturday at 10 a.m. before
meeting Princeton at 3 p.m.
