Wrestling's O'Connor Earns Top Ranking at 157 Pounds

Two-time All-American J.P. O'Connor got an early Christmas
present Tuesday when Intermat Wrestling released its college
rankings for Dec. 22. O'Connor took over the top ranking at 157
pounds with his 14-0 record.
The Oxford, N.Y., native won the Cliff Keen Las Vegas
Invitational Dec. 5 with a 2-1 tiebreaker victory over Boise
State's Adam Hall. He earned his 100th career victory early this
season and at 111 wins, currently ranks third all-time in victories
at Harvard.
Sophomore Walter Peppelman had a breakthrough performance at the
Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational, finishing sixth at 149 pounds.
He entered the college rankings the following week for the first
time in his career and currently ranks 14th.
Harvard will compete at the Midlands Championships Dec. 28 and
29 at Northwestern.
