The Harvard womens lacrosse team was named a 2009 IWLCA Academic Squad, while Sarah Bancroft 09 and Shannon Flynn 09 were recognized by the Intercollegiate Womens Lacrosse Coaches Association for excellence in the classroom.

Freshman Katie Doherty scored with one second left in the game to give the Harvard womens lacrosse team a 9-8 win over Boston College Thursday afternoon in the season finale for both teams.

Sophomore Jess Halpern scored four goals and added an assist as the Harvard womens lacrosse team turned a one-point halftime lead into a 11-7 victory over No. 20 Cornell Saturday afternoon. The Crimson defense and goalie Katherine Martino shut out the Big Red defense in the second half, holding them without a goal.

Gabriel Geronimos scored her third goal of the game with 39.9 second left on the clock to give Columbia an 11-10 win over Harvard Saturday afternoon at Harvard Stadium.

The Harvard womens lacrosse team scored three goals in the final three minutes of play, but a seven-goal cushion in the first half by the Big Green allowed No. 13 Dartmouth to maintain its lead and earn a 13-6 win Wednesday afternoon.

Sophomore Jess Halpern scored four of Harvards six goals in the second half to close the gap against No. 9 Virginia, but the Cavaliers used a first half cushion to prevail, 13-9, Sunday afternoon at Harvard Stadium.
