Jessica Davos begins herthird season as a coaching assistant with the women's lacrosse team in 2010.
Davos, who played for coach Miller at Syracuse, comes from Bryant where she served as the head coach for the 2008 season. Davos led the Bulldogs to a 10-8 record in her only season at Bryant. The Bulldogs finished third in the Northeast-10 Conference with a league record of 7-3. Three student-athletes garnered all-conference honors.
Prior to coaching at Bryant, Davos was the head coach at Bentley College. While at Bentley, Davos helped lead the Falcons to their best season since 2000 with an 11-6 overall mark and improving the team by four wins from the Falcons' 7-8 record the previous season.
Bentley finished third in the Northeast-10 Conference standings with an 8-2 conference record and reached the NE-10 Conference Tournament Championship in 2007. A total of four student-athletes garnered Northeast-10 All-Conference recognition with two selected all-region and one recognized as an All-American by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association.
Prior to arriving at Bentley, Davos was an assistant women's soccer and lacrosse coach at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
A native of Albany, N.Y., Davos (formerly DeRosa) played four years of varsity lacrosse at Syracuse, where she majored in English and textual studies. Among her career highlights was scoring the game-tying goal to force overtime in the ECAC championship semifinals against Boston University. During her career, the Orange posted and impressive 44-19 record with three NCAA tournament appearances.
