Jennifer Russell joined the Harvard women's lacrosse staff in December 2010. She is a currently member of the U.S. National team.
Russell was the most decorated player of the 2010 Tar Heel team. She was a finalist for the Tewaaraton Trophy and the Honda Award both of which are given to the national player of the year. She earned first-team All-America honors for the second consecutive season in the midfield. She also was an All-ACC choice in each of the last two years, leading UNC to the NCAA Tournament semifinals in 2009 and 2010. Russell started all 20 Carolina games in 2010, finishing with 32 goals and nine assists for 41 points along with 33 ground balls, 24 draw controls and a team-high 22 caused turnovers.
Russell is from Andover, Mass., and attended the Brooks School where she was a two-time first-team All-America and four-year starter.
