Senior Julia Glynn led the Crimson to two wins last weekend against UMass-Lowell and Brown.
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Senior midfielder Julia Glynn was named Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced today.
Glynn had another fantastic week for the Crimson, leading Harvard to wins against UMass-Lowell (W, 14-10) and Brown (W, 17-14) with 11 goals and four assists in the two games combined. Glynn notched six goals, four draw controls and three caused turnovers in the Wednesday night win at UMass-Lowell, then added a team-high five goals, with three draw controls, two caused turnovers and a ground ball in Harvard's first Ivy win of the year against Brown on Saturday.
Glynn now has 84 points (59 goals, 25 assists) on the season, the fifth most points in a single year in Harvard history. Her 59 goals place her tied for fourth all-time in a single season in program history. Named to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List last week, Glynn entered the weekend leading the nation in goals per game, and second in the country in points per game.
Harvard will head to Penn next Saturday for a 1 p.m. contest. The game will air on the Ivy League Network.
