CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Sophomore Audrey Todd and freshman Marisa Romeo of the Harvard women's lacrosse team have been named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Northeast All-Region second team, it was announced Monday.
Todd, a midfielder, who was also honored on the All-Ivy League first team, led Harvard with 38 draw controls and was second with 29 goals, 36 points and 33 ground balls. A native of Baltimore, Md., Todd scored multiple goals in 11 contests, including eight straight games from March 22 through April 19, and posted a career-high six goals in the victory over Boston University April 16.
Romeo, an attacker who hails from Syracuse, N.Y., earned a spot on the All-Ivy second team as a rookie. She paced the Ancient Eight with 48 goals and 58 points and led the team with 10 assists. Romeo, who scored at least one point in every game this spring, had nine hat tricks and notched at least four goals in a contest on seven occasions. She netted a career-best six goals in the win over Vanderbilt April 2.
The Crimson, which concluded regular season 9-7 overall and 4-3 in the Ancient Eight, advanced to the Ivy League tournament for the third time in four seasons.
