Six Crimson Named to IWLCA Academic Honor Roll

Harvard’s six selection to the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll is the most in the Ivy League over the last three years (Craig Cyr).

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Six members of the 2012 Harvard women’s lacrosse team have been named to the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll, marking the most selections of any team in the Ivy League.

IWLCA Scholar-Athlete of the Year Melanie Baskind ’12 headlines the group of Crimson honored which also includes May graduates Kerry Clark ’12 and Tyler Petropulos ’12, as well as rising seniors Micaela Cyr, Mariel Jenkins and Jennifer VanderMeulen. Harvard’s six representatives on the Honor Roll is a new program high and ties the mark for most Ivy League selections over the past three years.

A total of 173 student-athletes from 56 different institutions were included in the Academic Honor Roll. All student-athletes were nominated by their schools, have achieved at least junior status academically and maintained a GPA of 3.0 or higher throughout the 2011-12 academic year.
