VanderMeulen Receives Conference and National Player of the Week Honors

Freshman Jennifer VanderMeulen was named Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week for the third time this season, Rookie of the Week for the first time and to the honor roll for the second time this season. She scored nine goals and posted two assists in back-to-back wins for the Crimson, including Harvard’s first win over Princeton in 17 tries.

VanderMeulen scored six goals and had two assists in Harvard’s 15-9 win over Holy Cross last Wednesday. She scored a hat trick, won two draw controls and collected a ground ball in a win over Princeton despite being double and triple teamed all day.

She has 44 goals on the season and eight assists for 52 points. VanderMeulen leads the league in scoring with 3.67 goals per game and points with 4.33 per game.

Harvard’s victory over Princeton keeps the Crimson mathematically alive in the race for the fourth seed in the inaugural Ivy League Women's Lacrosse Tournament.

The Crimson hosts nationally ranked Dartmouth Wednesday, April 21 in its final home conference game of the season.
