June 23, 2009 Women's Hockey to Play 18 Home Games in 2009-10
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. The Harvard womens hockey team, the two-time reigning Ivy League and ECAC Hockey regular-season champion, will play 29 games, including 18 at Bright Hockey Center, in the upcoming 2009-10 season. The Crimson will skate in 22 ECAC Hockey contests, five non-conference games against Hockey East and WCHA opponents and the 32nd Womens Beanpot.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. The Harvard womens hockey team has announced its incoming class that will join the Crimson for the upcoming 2009-10 season. The group consists of seven players,: three forwards, three defenders and one goaltender who replace a graduating class of seven.
June 3, 2009 Cross, Vaillancourt, Fucito, Pizzotti Honored at Senior Letterwinners Dinner
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Four All-Americans took home Harvard's top senior athlete awards Wednesday night at the annual Harvard Varsity Club Senior Letterwinners Dinner at the Bright Center. Fencer Emily Cross, ice hockey player Sarah Vaillancourt, soccer player Michael Fucito and football player Chris Pizzotti collected awards for most outstanding athletes. It marks just the third time that both major awards - the Radcliffe Prize and the Bingham Award - have noth been shared in the same season.

May 8, 2009 Cahow Named USOC Athlete of the Month
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- After helping Team USA defend its title at the 2009 International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) World Women's Championship in April, Caitlin Cahow '07-08 was tabbed the U.S. Olympic Committee's Athlete of the Month, the USOC announced Friday afternoon. In addition, the U.S. Women's National Team was named the USOC Team of the Month.
May 8, 2009 Kessler Participates in Canada's Under-22 Camp
CALGARY, Alta. -- Harvard junior goaltender Christina Kessler recently participated in Hockey Canada's Under-22 strength and conditioning/skating camp, held April 30-May 3 at Norma Bush Arena. Kessler was one of eight goaltenders and 47 players overall to attend the camp.
April 30, 2009 1998 U.S. Women's Hockey Team Among Nominees for 2009 U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame
The United States Olympic Committee (USOC) has recently announced the nominees for the U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame Class of 2009. Among the group is the 1998 U.S. Women's Ice Hockey team, which upset four-time world champion Canada in the championship to capture the gold medal at the Nagano Games. Former Crimson skaters A.J. Mleczko '97-99, Angela Ruggiero '02-04 and Sandra Whyte '92 were members of the 1998 U.S. team.
April 12, 2009 Cahow Scores Twice to Help Team USA Win Gold at IIHF Championship
Former Cirmson standout Caitlin Cahow '07-08 scored two goals to lead the U.S. Women's National Team to a 4-1 victory over Team Canada at the 2009 International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) World Women's Championship Sunday. Angela Ruggiero '02-04 and Julie Chu '06-07 also had outstanding tournaments and were named to the media all-star team for their efforts.
April 9, 2009 Crimson Places 16 on ECAC Hockey All-Academic Team
Five Harvard womens hockey players were named to the ECAC Hockey All-Academic team for the third straight season, leading a group of 16 Crimson players selected to the squad, according to an announcement made by ECAC Hockey Wednesday. Seniors Kirsten Kester, Brittany Martin, Nora Sluzas, Kati Vaughn and junior Kathryn Farni earned their third selections to the All-Academic squad.
March 31, 2009 Vaillancourt Named New England Hockey Player of the Year for Second Straight Season
Harvard senior forward Sarah Vaillancourt has been named the New England Division I Womens Hockey Player of the Year for the second consecutive season, the New England Hockey Writers announced Tuesday. Vaillancourt and junior goaltender Christina Kessler were also selected to the New England Hockey Writers Division I Womens All-Star Team for the second straight time.
March 27, 2009 Ivy League, ECAC Hockey Regular-Season Titles Highlight 2008-09 Season for Harvard Womens Hockey
A 12-game winning streak against ECAC Hockey opponents, culminating in the Crimsons second straight Ivy League and ECAC Hockey regular-season titles, highlighted the 2008-09 season for the Harvard womens hockey team. Overall, the Crimson posted a 19-10-3 record, including a 16-4-2 mark in ECAC Hockey, and was 8-2-0 in the Ivy League.
