CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Kelsey Romatoski, a senior on the Harvard women's hockey team, was the most recent guest on the "This Week in ECAC Hockey" radio show. Romatoski appeared with host Bernie Corbett to talk about the remainder of the season for the No. 5 Crimson.
The Woodbury, Minn., native is one of the top defenders on the second-ranked defensive unit in the country. Harvard is allowing just 1.08 goals per game, trailing only Minnesota's 0.91 mark.
Romatoski has also succeeded in the classroom as a neurobiology concentrator, while aiming for a secondary concentration in global health and health policy and finishing her pre-med requirement. Her efforts have made her a finalist for the ECAC's Student-Athlete of the Year, which will be presented at the ECAC banquet before the beginning of the championship tournament.
The Crimson plays three more home games at Bright Hockey Center before hosting the first round of the ECAC playoffs March 1-3. Harvard welcomes St. Lawrence (Feb. 22), Clarkson (Feb. 23) and Yale (Feb. 26) to Bright with its senior day game being played Saturday, Feb. 23. The Crimson can clinch the ECAC regular season title with five points in the next three games.
