Ruggiero to Address General Assembly at United Nations Summit

Ruggiero will represent the International Olympic Committee at the UN Summit (Ruggiero).

NEW YORK – Former Harvard women’s hockey player Angela Ruggiero ’02-04 is slated to address the General Assembly during the United Nations summit taking place Sept. 20-22.

Ruggiero, a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), will take part in the discussion concerning millennium development goals and will represent the IOC at the meeting. The gathering is being held to accelerate progress in combating poverty, disease, hunger and bolstering the environment and education worldwide.
