Buesser Named to New England Hockey Writers All-Star Team

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Junior forward Kate Buesser of
the Harvard women’s hockey team was recently tabbed to the
New England Hockey Writers All-Star Team as a forward.
Buesser, who will serve as a captain of the Crimson during the
2010-11 season, earned her first nod to the all-star team.
A native of Wolfeboro, N.H., Buesser was a nominee for the Patty
Kazmaier Memorial Award, presented annually to the nation’s
top player. She was named to the All-ECAC Hockey and All-Ivy
League first team, as well as the ECAC Hockey All-Star Team.
She led Harvard with career-highs in goals (16), assists (24) and
points (40) and stood second in ECAC Hockey action with 32 points
(12-20-32).
She had 10 multiple-point games and concluded the season with an
eight-game point streak. Buesser will act as a captain for
Harvard next season, along with junior defender Leanna Coskren and
junior forward Liza Ryabkina.
