Hu, Nelsen Lead Harvard Women's Golf at Day One of NCAA West Regional

STANFORD, Calif. -- The Harvard women's golf team stands tied for 20th following the first day of action at the NCAA West Regional, hosted by Stanford at the Stanford Golf Course.
The Crimson had an opening team score of 309 and is tied with North Dakota State.
Vanderbilt is in first after day one, shooting 289, followed by Southern California (290), Purdue (291) and Oregon (292).
Bonnie Hu and Brenna Nelsen are tied for 22nd among individuals, scoring 73 on the day and are +2. Nelsen earned three birdies Thursday, while Hu had two to her credit. Christine Lin (81), Courtney Hooton (82) and Tiffany Lim (85) round out the Harvard players.
The Crimson, which earned a berth in the NCAA postseason by capturing its second straight Ivy title and fourth conference crown in the last six years, will look to advance among the tournament leaders Friday on day two.
