Harvard Women’s Fencing Kicks off Day One of NCAA Fencing Championships

COLUMBUS, Ohio- The Harvard women's fencing team recorded 31 total wins and finished the day tied for sixth-place. Senior Caroline Vloka had the Crimson's best day tallying 10 victories, good for third in the saber field.

In the foil sophomore Alexandra Kiefer recorded nine wins as she was Harvard's best entrant in the field. Kath Chou finished the day with four wins and 23rd place. Emma Vaggo had the Crimson's best day with the epee winning six bouts and taking 14th. Nadia Eldeib finished with four wins and 20th place. Freshman Kara Lee nearly finished in the top-10 in the saber field as was victorious eight times after day one and finished in 11th place.

Day two will begin tomorrow and will be broadcast on ESPN 3 with coverage beginning at 1:45 p.m.
