The Harvard women’s fencing team finished its bid for an NCAA hampionship with two fencers earning All-American honors. Senior Caroline Vloka finished fifth in the saber field securing All-America second-team accolades while sophomore Alexandra Kiefer’s 11th place finish was good for honorable mention.

COLUMBUS, Ohio- The Harvard women’s fencing team recorded 31 total wins and finished the day tied for sixth-place. Senior Caroline Vloka had the Crimson’s best day tallying 10 victories, good for third in the saber field.

Harvard Fencing Qualifies Maximum Number of Fencers for the NCAA Championship
The Harvard men's and women's fencing teams had 12 of their athletes chosen Tuesday when the NCAA Men's and Women's Fencing Committee announced the field of 144 competitors that will participate in the 2012 National Collegiate Men's and Women's Fencing Championships.

No. 7 Harvard Women's Fencing Claims Beanpot Championship
The No.7 women’s fencing team swept all three Boston area opponents, MIT, Boston College and Brandeis to claim the 2012 fencing Beanpot title, Tuesday night at the Malkin Athletic Center. The foil division led the way for the Crimson going a combined 25-1 in its three matches.

No. 7 Women’s Fencing Finishes Third at Ancient Eight Championship
The No. 7 Harvard women’s fencing team closed out the second day of championship play with a 2-1 record after falling to Columbia 14-13, and downing Brown and Cornell by identical scores of 18-9, finishing the tournament in third place with a 4-2 record. The Crimson also landed five its members on all-Ivy League teams.

The No. 7 women’s fencing team went 2-1 on the first day of the conference tournament on Saturday, defeating Penn (14-13) and Yale (21-6) while falling to Princeton (18-9). The Crimson had four combatants go 6-3 in their respective fields helping to give the Crimson a third-place finish after the first day of action.

No. 3 Harvard women’s fencing opened up the New Year with an inspiring win over No. 1 Penn State during the team’s first tournament of 2012. Harvard edged the Nittany Lions by a score of 14-13.
