Freshman Alexandra Kiefer went undefeated for the third time this season (Harvard Athletic Communications).
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Freshman Alexandra Kiefer went a perfect 9-0 Sunday to lead the Harvard women's fencing team to three wins at the Eric Sollee Invitational hosted by MIT.
The Crimson earned wins over No. 8 Penn, Duke and Hunter College by scores of 17-10, 18-9 and 21-6, respectively. Kiefer's spotless record was the highlight of a foil squad that went 25-2 Sunday and included strong efforts from junior Shelby Macleod and sophomore Katherine Chou.
The Crimson will head to the Ivy League Championships, Saturday and Sunday at Princeton, in hopes of earning an Ancient Eight title.
