Season Recap: One National Champion, Five All-Americans Highlight 2010-11 Harvard Fencing Campaign
Harvard fencing head coach Peter Brand sat down to reflect on the 2010-11 Crimson men's and women's fencing seasons. Freshman Alexandra Kiefer grabbed top honors as she won the individual national championship in the women's foil. Along with Kiefer, juniors Caroline Vloka and Noam Mills all earned All-American status. For the men, freshman Michael Raynis and junior co-captain Valentin Staller were also tabbed as All-Americans. The men's team became Ivy League Champion with a win over rival Yale in the final dual of the championship. Eleven Harvard fencers earned All-Ivy status in 2010-11.

National Champion! Kiefer Wins Women's Foil Title, Harvard Finishes Sixth at NCAA Championship
Freshman Alexandra Kiefer ended her rookie season Sunday the same way she started it -- standing at the highest point on the podium. Kiefer defeated Princeton's Eve Levin, 15-7, on the final day of the 2011 NCAA Fencing Championship to claim the women's foil individual title.
