Women's Fencing Bolsters Squad With Addition of Three Newcomers
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard head coach
Peter Brand announced this week that three women’s fencers
will join the Crimson for the upcoming 2009-10 season.
The incoming class includes one sabre, one epee and one foil
fencer, with two of the newcomers hailing from New Jersey. The
other incoming freshman is a native of Virginia.
Harvard, which placed fifth at the 2009 NCAA Championships, won
its third Ivy League title last season, going 6-0 in conference
action, and posted a 20-1 overall record. The Crimson earned three
All-America selections and four All-Ivy League nods.
