Harvard Crews' Seniors Graduate Away From Cambridge

SACRAMENTO, Calif. and INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --
Members of Harvard's crews, who are rowing for their respective national titles this weeked, held their own graduation ceremonies away from Cambride Friday night. The men's lightweights and women's lightweights celebrated in Sacramento, Calif., while the women's heavyweights wore their graduation caps and gowns in Indianapolis, Ind.

The seniors were forced to miss Thursday's 362nd Harvard University commencement, and speaker Oprah Winfrey, because of the IRA National Championships (Sacramento) and the NCAA Rowing Championships (Indianapolis). Each event started on Friday and will run through Sunday.

The Radcliffe crew members also took part in a special tradition of wearing their uniforms under their graduation gowns. For more photos, click here.
