Eight Harvard-Radcliffe Rowers Named CRCA Scholar-Athletes

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Eight members of the Harvard-Radcliffe heavyweight crew were named to the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association Scholar-Athlete list, the CRCA announced this week.
To be eligible for the award, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore, rowed in 75% of her team's events and have a 3.5 grade-point average or higher.
Black and White were represented by Kelly Bauer (a human evolutionary biology concentrator), Mary Carmack (electrical engineering), Maura Church (applied mathematics), Margaret Nietfeld (computer science), Erin Slatery (human development and regenerative biology), Deva Steketee (romance language and literature), Katie Wilcox (history and science) and Jenny Wong (human evolutionary biology). It is the third CRCA Scholar-Athlete honor for Wilcox and Steketee, and the second for Church.
The No. 12 Radcliffe heavyweight crew has its sights set on the NCAA Division I Rowing Championships in Indianapolis, Ind., this weekend.
