In the Rankings
The Black and White's win last weekend propelled the varsity eight from No. 11 to No. 8 in the latest CRCA/USRowing Coaches Poll presented by Pocock Racing Shells. Despite beating Princeton by 2.2 seconds last Saturday, Radcliffe still trails the Tigers by one spot in the polls for the highest ranking Ivy League boat. Southern California is ranked No. 1 and received all 25 first-place votes. Cal, Virginia, Ohio State and UCLA finish the top five.

The Orange, which received votes in the most recent CRCA/USRowing Coaches Poll, has raced three times this season. In its most recent regatta, Syracuse took home the Orange Challenge Cup against Penn and Northeastner on the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia April 6. The varsity eights race went Syracuse's way by 4.6 seconds to win the cup and Syracuse also won three of the other four contested races.
Dartmouth (Crew Page)
The Big Green's varsity eight has downed one opponent, while racing against seven crews overall, in three regattas. Dartmouth beat Rutgers, in a race where it also lost to Rhode Island April 6, before falling to Columbia and Northeastern April 7 and Boston University, Yale and Clemson April 13 in its last two outings.
The varsity eights are racing for the O'Leary Cup, named for Radcliffe coach Liz O'Leary, for the 14th time since the trophy was introduced in 2000. The Black and White has taken the trophy eight times, including a 1.4-second victory over Dartmouth last year to snap the Big Green's winning streak at two. Dartmouth owns four cup wins and Syracuse has one, coming in 2001.
