HANOVER, N.H. -- The Radcliffe heavyweight crew finished the Green Monster regatta in 16:36 to beat 14 other boats Saturday afternoon. The race, hosted by Dartmouth, was run on a three-mile stretch of the Connecticut River for women in their first season of collegiate rowing.
The race was a head style event with teams racing against the clock, rather than side-by-side.
Radcliffe, which was rowing out of bow No. 4, outpaced crews from Ivy League foe Dartmouth as well as Boston College, Vermont, Massachusetts and MIT.
The Black and White earned its second win of the fall season at the Green Monster. Previously, the Radcliffe novices won at the Head of the Housatonic regatta Oct. 6.
