Radcliffe Heavyweights, Lightweights Start Fall at Head of the Housatonic
Radcliffe had a successful opening day on the Housatonic River today (photo courtesy Head of the Housatonic).
SHELTON, Conn. – Radcliffe's two crews, the lightweights and heavyweights, posted solid performances at the Head of the Housatonic regatta today. The Black and White earned a pair of wins from the heavyweight squad and also had impressive runs from the lightweights, which were rowing alongside many heavyweight boats.

The Black and White won two races, which featured a 2.7-mile course rather than the usual 2,000-meter spring course, at the event and came in second in another. Radcliffe finished in the top two spots of the fours competition, won the novice eights race and came in second in the collegiate eights race. Click here for the full release.

The Black and White posted one win, as well as second-, fifth- and eighth-place finishes on the course between two dams at Indian Well State Park. Radcliffe swept the doubles competition, finishing first and second in the event. Click here for the full release.
