Bri Fecteau begins her seventh season as a member of the Harvard basketball staff as an assistant coach. With the Crimson, Fecteau is in charge of film exchange with opponents, working with the guards, scouting opponents and recruiting. She also serves as the head coach for the blossoming junior varsity program.
Fecteau joined Delaney-Smith's staff after a standout career at Division II powerhouse Bentley College and a stint with the Katwijk Grasshoppers, a professional women's team in Holland.
Fecteau's name is splattered all over the Falcons' record book. She is only one of two players to be a captain for three years, and graduated as the school's leader in career games played (135).
The Westport, Maine, native burst on the scene as a freshman, earning the 1998 NCAA Northeast Regional Most Outstanding Player award after leading the Falcons in scoring in both games. She dropped in a then-career-best 21 points as Bentley took down a 28-1 Kennesaw State squad, a win that earned the Falcons a trip to the national semifinals.
Arguably the best point guard to ever wear a Falcon uniform, Fecteau helped lead Bentley to an amazing 120-15 overall record during her career, including a 31-3 senior season and three Northeast-10 regular season titles during her stay. She became only the eighth junior to eclipse the 1,000-point barrier on February 6th, 1999, in a win over Merrimack. Fecteau earned her degree in 2002, and left her name in the record book as the 10th leading scorer in Falcon history with 1,307 points and third on the school's all-time assist list with 573. A career 83-percent free throw shooter, Fecteau connected on all 12 attempts in a win over Florida Southern in her junior year.
In her senior year, she earned WBCA/Kodak Division II Honorable Mention All-America honors, was a Daktronics Division II All-Northeast Region second-team selection, and was also named to the all-tournament team at the NCAA Division II Northeast Regional. She ranks in the top 10 in seven different categories in Bentley's basketball annals.
