Harvard is offering several ticket promotions for the game aimed to fill the stands and create an electric atmosphere for the Crimson as it makes a run at the program's 12th Ivy League championship. Additionally, the game will serve as Harvard's "Pink Zone" game to raise awareness and support in the fight against breast cancer.
The Kay Yow Cancer Fund is committed to helping find an answer in the fight against women's cancer through raising money for scientific research, assisting the underserved and unifying people for a common cause. Several student giveaways are also being planned to encourage Harvard undergrads to fill the student section. Free pizza will be given away in the stands.
All fans wearing pink in support of the "Pink Zone" will have a chance to spin the Harvard Athletics prize wheel for a chance to win t-shirts, rally towels or other giveaway items. A sign making station with decorations will also be provided for all fans that enter the building.
In addition, every youth basketball team in attendance will be entered to win court time at Lavietes Pavilion prior to a Harvard game and all teams will receive free rally towels.
Fans will be treated to several in-game promotions as well, including "Bounce 4 Bucks" at halftime. Following the game, fans are invited to take part in an autograph session with Harvard's student-athletes. Free team photos will be provided.
Harvard currently sits at 9-4 overall heading into conference play Jan. 11 vs. Dartmouth. Junior forward Temi Fagbenle is posting a double-double for the Crimson with 13.2 points and 10.4 rebounds. Senior captain Christine Clark paces all scorers with 17.4 points.
