Women’s Basketball Announces Addition of Five Newcomers for 2013-14
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Harvard women's basketball team will welcome five student-athletes from the Class of 2017 to the program this fall, head coach Kathy Delaney-Smith has announced. The class, which consists of two guards and three forwards, has won a combined seven conference championships, a state championship, a Nike Nationals championship and has garnered seven all-state and nine all-conference accolades from five different states.
Harvard, which reached the WNIT second round for the second year in a row while making its fourth appearance in the tournament in five years, posted its tenth 20-win season in program history last season. The Crimson also recorded a perfect 11-0 record at home in 2012-13.
