CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - After scoring 17 points and handing out eight assists in back-to-back games against Princeton and Penn, Brogan Berry has been selected as the COOP Athlete of the Week for Feb. 7.
Berry tallied her 17 points against the Tigers on 7-of-10 shooting, while dishing out eight helpers. She also grabbed four rebounds in the win that put Harvard atop the Ivy League standings by itself.
Berry followed that performance with an identical 17-point, eight-assist game in Harvard’s double-overtime game against Penn. She went 4-of-7 from the field and 9-of-12 from the free-throw line. Berry also snagged six boards and ensured Harvard would remain unbeaten in the Ivy League at 5-0.
Berry leads the Crimson in points per game, averaging 14.4. Her 16 assists moved her into sixth place on Harvard’s all-time list. She is now 45 points shy of 1,000.
