Basketball's Markley Named Co-Ivy League Player of the Week

Harvard’s Emma Markley was named Ivy League Co-Player of
the Week for her efforts in Harvard’s two wins over the
weekend.
Markley averaged 14.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 4.5 blocks, flirting
with a triple-double in one game, leading the Crimson to two wins
over Columbia and Cornell. Markley scored a team-high 19 points
(7-for-12 from the field), grabbed a game-high eight rebounds,
blocked a season-high seven shots, handed out two assists and
collected two steals in Harvard’s win over Columbia. She
added 10 points, seven rebounds, two blocks an assist and a steal
in the win over Cornell.
The junior paces the Crimson in points (14.9), rebounds (7.6) and
blocks (2.5) per game. This is Markley’s fourth player of the
week award.
Freshman Elle Hagedorn was named to the honor roll. She averaged
10.5 ppg, 4.5 rpg and 3.5 apg on the weekend. She had a career-high
12 points in win over Cornell.
Harvard travels to Princeton and Penn this weekend. The Crimson
paces Ivy League leader Princeton Friday at 7 p.m. on Verizon Fios
