The Harvard track and field team wrapped up its weekend of competition at the IC4A and ECAC Championships. The mens team finished in a tie for 27th at the IC4A meet while the women compiled 17.75 points to tie for 16th at the ECAC Championships.

Four members of the Harvard track and field team have been named to the All-Ivy second team, following the Heptagonal Championships Feb 27-28. Freshmen jumpers Ashtynn Baltimore and Olivia Weeks represented the Crimson women while senior Jack Brady and sophomore John Dingus represented the mens team.

The mens and womens track and field teams posted a pair of fourth-place finishes at the 2010 Heptagonal Championships, Saturday at Leverone Field House. The men finished the meet with 53 total points while the women compiled 61 points over the weekend.

With a number of strong performances in the field events during the first day of competition at the 2010 Heptagonal Championships, Saturday at Leverone Field House, the Harvard women's track and field team finished day one in a tie for third with defending champion Cornell, compiling 20 points. The men totaled 10 points through day one, good for a tie for fourth with Dartmouth and Columbia.

After capturing both the mens and womens titles at the Battle of Beantown last weekend, the Harvard mens and womens track and field teams travel to Princeton, N.J., to take on Yale and Princeton in the annual H-Y-P meet Saturday, Feb. 13. Saturdays event marks the 56th time the mens H-Y-P meet will be contested while the women will be competing in the 31st womens H-Y-P event.

Harvard freshman Nico Weiler has been named the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Male Field Athlete of the Year for the Northeast region. The Ivy League, IC4A and NCAA Regional champion in the pole vault is just the second Harvard recipient of the award.

Three members of the Harvard womens track and field team were named to ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District I team as voted on by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Senior Becky Christensen was named to the first team, while classmate Shannon Flahive and sophomore Claire Richardson were selected to the second team.
