Video Bio: Priscilla Bayley
Priscilla Bayley comes to the Harvard cross country coaching staff
after spending last season as an assistant coach of the Santa Clara
University cross country and track and field teams. Bayley made an
immediate impact on a Broncos squad that ended last season with
three runners named All-WCC and a men’s team that had their
best finish at the West Coast Conference Championships since 2007,
placing third.
Bayley, a USATF level 1 certified coach, served as assistant cross country coach at Saint Mary’s College during the 2009-10 seasons before joining Santa Clara University in the summer of 2010.
She began her coaching career as the volunteer head coach for the Buffalo Chips Running Team in Sacramento, Calif., from 2006-09. During her time with the Buffalo Chips she led the most successful junior women’s club team in the country as the group earned two national AAU titles, boasted three national champions and one USA Junior World Team qualifier.
As an undergraduate at the University of California Davis, Bayley was a four-year participant on the Aggies’ cross country team. During her career she was a division II NCAA Championship competitor and an all-conference award winner.
Bayley graduated from UC Davis in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts degree, leaving with a double major in communications and Chicano studies with an emphasis on social and public policy.
