EUGENE, Ore. –
Senior Jade Miller and sophomore Gabby Thomas capped off historic seasons for Harvard women's track and field on Saturday (June 10) at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Miller took sixth place in the 400 meter hurdles, finishing in 56.61, while Thomas placed third in the 200-meter dash (22.61) for the second consecutive year at the NCAA Outdoor Meet.

By virtue of crossing the finish line in the final race of each of their respective events, both Miller and Thomas will earn USTFCCCA First Team All-America honors.

In a loaded 400 meter hurdles field, just .09 seconds separated places 4-6, as Miller nearly beat her fifth place finish in the event at NCAA Outdoors as a sophomore.

For the second consecutive year, Thomas earned a third place finish in the 200 meters, the best finish by any Harvard student-athlete in a sprint event. Running in lane six, Thomas used a late kick to earn the top-three finish, nearing her own personal record in the event.

With the nine team points earned by Thomas and Miller combined, Harvard placed 29th overall, the highest finish of any team from the Northeast region.

Senior Nikki Okwelogu was also in action in the discus throw, finishing 23rd overall (143-10) to cap off her decorated career at Harvard. Okwelogu will earn USTFCCCA All-America Honorable Mention.
