Track and Field Alumni Making Push for 2012 Olympics

Chas Gillespie hopes to qualify for the 2012 Olympics in the marathon event (Harvard Athletic Communications).

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Brian Hill '11 and Chas Gillespie '10 were recently featured in The Crimson, as the two discussed their running careers after graduation.

Both Hill and Gillespie have taken on roles as volunteer assistant coaches with the Harvard track and field program for the 2011-12 season as the pair trains for 2012 Olympic bids. Hill, who holds the school indoor 800-meter dash mark, will be training for the 800 meter race while Gillespie, a distance runner at Harvard, will look to qualify in the marathon.
