2010-11 Harvard Track and Field Schedule

The Harvard track and field team had a number of positives to take away from the 2009-10 season. Both the men and the women captured Battle of Beantown titles and registered fourth-place finishes at the Indoor Heptagonal Championships. The Crimson saw a handful of team members participate in the USA Junior and Senior Nationals and Claire Richardson qualified for the NCAA Outdoor National Championships in the 5,000 meter run. In all, seven team members earned All-Ivy League recognition for their performances at the Heptagonal Championships.

In 2010-11, the track and field squad looks to maintain its place atop the local track and field scene while working to crack the top three in league competitions. With a revamped coaching staff and an open home meet already under its belt, the team is ready to hit the ground running when it kicks off its 2011 schedule with the Saturday Night at the Armory meet in New York, Jan. 15. The Crimson has three home meets remaining on the indoor schedule and a wide variety of competition sites on the outdoor schedule in order to prepare its athletes for Heps, IC4As/ECACs and the NCAA regional and national meets.

Director of track and field and cross country Jason Saretsky shares his thoughts on the upcoming season in a video season preview:
