Brode, Twicken Earn Rookie of the Week Honors

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Dustin Brode and Christina Twicken of the Harvard track and field team have been named Rookies of the Week by Hepstrack.com. It is the first time either athlete has received the award.

Twicken had a stellar weekend at the Battle of Beantown, capturing three events en route to a Harvard women’s team victory. Twicken turned in the top times in the 200- and 400-meter events and helped the 4x440-yard relay team to victory as well. In his first collegiate shot put event, Brode posted a distance of 17.00 meters, the second-longest mark in Ivy League ranks this season. He also posted an Ivy top-five mark in the weight throw with a toss of 16.95 meters.
